Booking for Variations 2022 is now closed. Booking for the 2023 Variations Chamber Music course will open in January 2023.

Booking is now open for the 2022 Variations Chamber Music course to be held at the Macphail Centre, Ullapool from Saturday 23rd to Friday 29th July 2022.

After the disappointment of having to cancel the Variations Chamber Music course this year we have begun organising Variations 2021 which will take place in the Macphail Centre, Ullapool from Saturday 24th to Friday 30th July next year.

These dates have been agreed with the tutors and the venue but are still provisional and will be confirmed in October this year.

COVID-19 Statement – 7 April 2020

The  Board of Trustees has decided that the 2020 Variations Chamber Music course is cancelled because of the current measures in place to control the COVID-19 outbreak and the considerable uncertainty about when these constraints might be lifted. We have taken this decision in the best interests of participants, tutors and audiences but are sorry that we will not gather for our week of music making in Ullapool this year.

 We will be organising the next Variations Chamber Music Course for July or August of 2021 and will post dates for next year’s course as soon as they are agreed.

Information on the website applies to the planned 2020 Variations course and appears here as a guide for those interested in joining us. We will confirm Variations 2021 dates and course fees in November 2020.

Participant fees for Variations 2020 have just been agreed and are £440 for players who book before 31st March 2020 and £490 for those booking after this date.

You will be able to book a place on the Variations course from December and bookings will close on Friday 1st May 2020.

Dates for the 2020 Variations Chamber Music course in Ullapool will be Saturday 25th July through to Friday 31st July.
